Simple sewing skills and a few moments are required to turn out this pretty fish brooch. We've used a bright orange ribbon to make a goldfish for Chinese New Year, but of course you could use any colour.
You will need:
Wide orange ribbon
Narrow orange ribbon
Needle and thread
Safety pin
Wiggle eye
Instructions:
Take a length of wide ribbon about 20cm long. Find the centre and then fold one side over the other to form a point.
Secure with a couple of stitches.
Trim the ends to make points.
Tie a piece of narrow ribbon around the centre, simulatenously tying the safety pin to the back of the fish. Secure with a few extra stitches if needed.
Stick on the eye.
