Something a bit different for St George's Day - an excuse to get the hama beads out! We've created some simple fuse bead designs for the kids to work on. They are fun to make and great practice for counting and copying, too.

Here's an England flag fuse bead pattern for use with hama, perler or own brand fuse beads. We've used a small square pegboard and the flag is the perfect size for a badge - but you will come up with many other ways to use it, I'm sure.
You will need to count carefully to reproduce this knight’s helmet fuse bead design, complete with nose guard and cross decoration. We’ve drawn the design using grey, brown and black, but silver and gold would look even better!
Here's an excuse to get out the hama beads - to make your very own Saint George! This quite complicated design uses a large square and will need to be treated carefully to keep the lance strong.
Every knight should have a shield - and why not one with a brave St George's Cross on the front! We used a large square board to make our shield, and grey, white and red beads.
