Although our photo doing do this craft justice, it's worth having a go at these wax resist snowflakes. You can try the activity with a range of ages, painting the "sky" with a simple watered down blue paint with younger children and trying some more interesting combinations with older kids.
You will need:
White crayon, candle or oil pastel
Paper
Watered down blue paint
Instructions:
Draw snowflakes onto the paper with the crayon, pressing firmly.
Paint over the top with the watered down paint. The wax should resist the paint, revealing the snowflakes.
