This suncatcher heart looks very pretty displayed in a sunny window! This is a good craft for little children.
You will need:
Pink cellophane
Glitter glue
Instructions:
Fold the cellophane in two and cut out a heart so you have two heart shapes.
Decorate one with glitter glue (not going too close to the edges). Press the second cellophane heart on top so that the glue spreads.
These wool hearts are so simple to make and as you can see, they can come out in lovely vibrant colours! You will need patience while the glue dries, though, so make sure they are far away from little fingers.
Sam enjoyed watching the paint colours run together when we were doing this Valentines craft. It was a bonus when we discovered the heart looked pretty in the window as a suncatcher!
This craft can of course be adapted for all sorts of holidays and events, but we've done it here for Valentine's Day. It produces a lovely 3d "artwork" which can be adapted to so many different uses.
