We wanted our hedgehog's prickles or spines to look really prickly, which is how we came up with this folded paper technique. It looks really effective and makes a really cute hedgehog for display. This is a gentle, non-messy craft.
You will need:
- Our hedgehog frame
- Orange or brown paper or light card
- Glue stick
- Colouring pencils
Instructions:
Colour in the hedgehog's face and paws.
Cut your paper into small, narrow rectangles. You will need quite a few!
Fold each rectangle in half. Run one half of the rectangle over the top of the glue stick and place the sticky side down onto the hedgehog's body, working on one patch at a time.
Vary the direction of the "spikes" but keep them as close together as you can.
When you've finished, and all the spikes have dried, you can cut your hedgehog out if you wish.
