Practise listening for initial sounds with the help of these matching cards. Look at the picture and say what it is out loud - then match with the correct letter. We've included a chart at the end of the pack to show what words we have used, in case there is any confusion. We've included a separate set for Australia, replacing f for flip flops with t for thongs!
Colour the pictures according to the key, and then count the number of items beginning with each letter. Make sure your child listens carefully to the initial sounds.

There are 4 mini word jigsaws and 7 large word jigsaws in this seaside or beach-themed set. Print onto card, cut carefully along the dotted lines, shuffle and then have the kids reassemble them. For a bigger challenge, give them more than 1 jigsaw to do at a time.
