Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) was the 40th President of the United States, serving from 1981 to 1989.

Reagan was a Republican. He had been a sports commentator and film actor before becoming a politician. Reagan tried to boost the economy by reducing taxes and removing some of the rules which businesses had to obey. He became the first President to survive an assassination attempt and easily won re-election for a second term.
