These pipe cleaner daffodils are really fun to make. Twirling the pipe cleaners was a good exercise for little fingers, but some adult help was needed with younger children when it came to putting the daffodils together. We think this would make a lovely handmade Mothers’ Day or Easter card.
You will need:
- 10 x yellow pipe cleaners
- 2 x orange pipe cleaners
- 1 x green pipe cleaner
- Card
- Double sided sticky tape or glue gun
Instructions:
- Make the first flower. Take 5 yellow pipe cleaners. Fold one around itself, like a snail. Repeat to make 5 petals. Secure them to each other using the ends of the pipe cleaners.
- Take an orange pipe cleaner and wrap it around your little finger to make a tube. Tuck one end of the wire into the tube so it is not sticking out. Use the other end to secure the tube to the petals.
- Cut the green pipe cleaner in half. Secure one half to the back of the first daffodil.
- Repeat these steps to make another daffodil.
- Stick your daffodils to your card using double sided sticky tape or a hot glue gun.
