Haile Gebrselassie (1973 - present) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who has won two Olympic gold medals in the 10,000 metres and now runs marathons around the world
Fun fact: Haile comes from a big family - he was one of 10 children - and he grew up on a farm. Every day he would run 10 kilometres to school and 10 kilometres back. He still runs as if he is holding his school books under his left arm!
