This was a very successful craft, but we did need to start with a clear, face-on self portrait and a good collection of papers to use for the collage. It would be a great activity to do with a group of children, if you can line them up for portrait photos first and then print them out ready for the activity. How about trying it at a party? Take the photos as the children come in and send them home with the photo and the collage!
You will need:
- A photo of you
- Tracing paper
- Backing card
- Coloured paper
- Glue
Instructions:
Place the tracing paper on the photo and trace around the shapes of your face and features.

Use your tissue paper outlines to cut out the shapes from coloured paper.
Glue the pieces on to the backing card to make your self portrait.
