Here's a very different type of puzzle! How many three letter words can you build using the letters on the cat? They must all have the letter "a" in the middle position, as in the word c-a-t. Use each letter only once, and cross them out as you use them. There is at least one way that all the letters can be used up to make twenty words.
We've also provided an easier version of the puzzle, for which the children have to find the letters to make the twenty words we have listed.
Here's a Christmas puzzle that will test how well the children know opposites. They need to cut out the pieces on the first page and then glue them onto the grid on the second page by matching the opposite words.
We've made a word art design using 15 words and phrases associated with the colourful, noisy celebration of Mardi Gras. Can you find them all and list them? For a really hard challenge, why not tally up the number of time each word appears?
