Special Occasion Oatmeal
Brighten up someone's breakfast with this healthy and hearty
oatmeal recipe.
Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups milk
2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 Tablespoon butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped, unpeeled apple
Brown sugar
Instructions:
Boil the milk in a saucepan and stir in the oats. Mix well,
then add the butter and salt and continue cooking over medium heat for 5
minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the oatmeal from the heat and add the maple syrup,
raisins, walnuts and apples. Stir to mix well. Serve with brown sugar to taste.
