Potato Print Tractor

This potato print tractor is a fun painting activity all year round, although perhaps particularly appropriate at Harvest or Thanksgiving. It also provides a good opportunity to talk about shapes and sizes with young children.

You will need:

Three halves of potato, cut into big, medium and small rectangles
One half of a potato cut into zigzags
Carrot (cut in half)
Red paint
Black paint
Gold paint
Paper

Print two large red rectangles side by side in the centre of the paper. On top to the right add a medium red rectangle (this is the cab) and to the left add a small red rectangle (the funnel).

Use the carrot to print three circles underneath for wheels and add some circles of black paint coming from the funnel (smoke). Finally use the zigzag potato shape to add golden corn under the tractor.
