Martin Luther King Day
“I have a dream that my four little children will
one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their
skin but by the content of their character.”
Martin Luther King Day will next be celebrated on
18th January 2010 in the US. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader of the civil
rights movement in 1960s America, which meant that he hoped that black
people and white people would begin to live together peacefully, with equal
rights. He was assassinated in 1968.
Wouldn't it be terrible? Wouldn't it be sad?
If just one single color was the color that we had?
If everything was purple? Or red? Or blue? Or green?
If yellow, pink, or orange was all that could be seen?
Can you just imagine how dull the world would be
If just one single color was all that we could see?
