Egg Beads
Most beads are round, but our "egg beads" are egg-shaped - an original craft idea for Easter!
You will need: Colored air drying clay (older children could use oven hardening clay, such
as Fimo) Instructions: Make an egg shape from a small lump of clay. Use other colored clay to add stripes or dots, or mix more than one color together for a marbled egg. Use the needle to make a hole in the egg, wiggling it around a little to make the hole bigger. Take care with children and needles. Younger children should let an adult make the hole. Make lots of egg beads for a necklace, or thread them on to a pipe cleaner (chenille stem) to make a bangle, as we have done. Back to Easter pages Back to Kids Crafts |
